Besides spending time regularly providing medical care and/or teaching medical students and residents overseas, another interest and passion of Barry Bacon is taking care of the poor and vulnerable locally. Several years ago, Tri-County Community Health Fund, or TCCHF, was organized to serve people in the three counties of NE Washington: Stevens, Pend Oreille, and Ferry. This fund helps poor and/or uninsured people with funding for both medical and dental health needs. It is a 501c3 organization.
To help fund TCCHF, Barry has produced five CDs of his original songs. He sells them and donates half of the proceeds to the fund. We will never even break even with this project (making CDs is expensive!), but we know people have benefited from the funds raised, as well as from listening to the heart-felt music Barry has written.
